The Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners at Huntington Behavioral Health in Huntington, West Virginia, provide psychiatric services to assist patients in dealing with and overcoming their mental/behavioral health issues.
General Psychiatry
Meet with a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner for an evaluation and diagnosis of the problems you are having. They will create a treatment plan, which will include routine visits to manage your medications and may make a recommendation for therapy sessions. Our physicians and nurse practitioners are board certified and are experienced in dealing with depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety and panic disorders, PTSD and ADHD and other psychiatric concerns in adults.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Identify what may be contributing to your child’s behavioral issues or poor performance in school. Our psychiatrists or nurse practitioner will meet with the child and the family. If signs of ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, or behavior disorder are present, we will set up a treatment plan to include assessment and management of medication changes. In most cases, therapy with a counselor or psychologist will also be recommended.
